Dr. Molly Mullen

A senior lecturer in applied theatre and participatory arts at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland, Molly brings over ten years of experience producing theatre education, youth theatre, community arts and children’s theatre projects in the UK and New Zealand. Originally from the UK, Molly has been living in Aotearoa since 2009 in Tāmaki Makaurau with her two children and partner.
Molly is known for her research in the diverse economies of applied theatre and community-based arts practice, which examines the intersection of policy, funding and practice. Her wider research examines the interrelationships between theatre and arts participation and ecology, economy, social justice and wellbeing.
